The seven days take capital letters
Every day of the week has a name, and a name is a name. All seven begin with a capital letter.

It does not matter where the day lands. Monday keeps its capital at the front of a sentence. It keeps it in the middle too.
“Monday is library day.”
“We have art on Monday.”
Why they get capitals
Think back to what you know about names. “girl” could be anybody. “Ava” is one person. Days work the same way. There is only one Tuesday in a week.
Words about days that stay small
Here is the part that catches people. Some words point at a day without naming one.
